Process Engineer - Magnetron Sputtering Line

As a Process Engineer on the Magnetron Sputtering Line, you will be responsible for supervising and optimizing advanced technological processes related to magnetron sputtering of functional layers of thin-film CIGS (Copper-Indium-Gallium-Selenide) photovoltaic cells.

Your work will be crucial to the efficiency of the modern production line located in Wrocław. Your main responsibilities will include developing and improving magnetron sputtering processes for metallic and conductive oxide layers, precisely monitoring them, and optimizing technological parameters.

Expectations:
  • Higher technical education (preferred fields: materials engineering, technical physics, electronics, mechatronics or related).
  • Practical knowledge of vacuum processes, in particular magnetron sputtering methods.
  • Good knowledge of pressure units, vacuum levels and measuring devices used in vacuum technology.
  • Ability to distinguish and select appropriate types of vacuum pumps and configurations of vacuum systems.
  • Knowledge of magnetron power supply methods, target types and their operating parameters.
  • Knowledge of thin-film TCO (Transparent Conductive Oxide) layers and the properties of conductive and semiconductor materials.
  • Knowledge of reactive sputtering processes and their impact on the structure and quality of coatings.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word).
  • Basic knowledge of electrical engineering; SEP qualifications up to 1 kV are welcome.
  • Communicative knowledge of English; knowledge of additional languages ​​will be an advantage.
  • The ability to analytically think and make decisions in technical and production conditions.
  • Willingness to continuously develop and acquire new technological knowledge.
Responsibilities:
  • Ongoing supervision of the production process on magnetron sputtering lines.
  • Maintaining and updating technical documentation related to vacuum and thin-film processes.
  • Recording and analysis of process parameters to identify improvement potential.
  • Development of detailed operational and technological instructions for magnetron processes.
  • Solving technical problems and ensuring the continuity and repeatability of thin-film processes.
  • Maintaining a high level of technical culture and occupational hygiene in a vacuum technological environment.
  • Cooperation with engineer teams and the Investment Department when launching and implementing a new production infrastructure of the plant.
