ROLTEC is created by a group of interdisciplinary specialists representing the world of science and business. By creating a team of professionals, we took full responsibility for our actions and promises to reduce the carbon footprint and care for the natural environment. We are passionate and experts in renewable energy. We want to cross technological and creative boundaries. At Roltec, we tell new and exciting stories about photovoltaics…
A history of innovation
The beginning of the company's operations. Roltec gains new rooms. We are starting to equip the Solar Factory project laboratory and the SolarBot workshop.
The SolarBot project workshop gains its first machine - a lathe.
We are starting a CNC milling machine that will allow us to create SolarBot components.
Successful tests for the synthesis of cadmium sulfide (CdS).
Starting the layering machine.
We created the first working CIGS photovoltaic cell from scratch.
The first prototype of SolarBot in the final stage of implementation.
The test of the first SolarBot prototype ends with success!
We are establishing cooperation with the University of Martin Luther in Halle.
The first laser-structured CIGS module is created at Roltec.
Start of construction of a new laboratory headquarters and Solar Factory - an experimental production line for CIGS Roltec panels.
We create a flexible CIGS link.
We are structuring a fully magnetron cell with an efficiency exceeding 10%.
Structural elements for another 33 SolarBots are being created.
We create photovoltaic cells with an evaporated CIGS layer.
The new building of the Solar Factory project is taking its final shape.
We are starting phase 2 of designing and improving the SolarBot concept.
The laboratory gains a clean zone, an electron microscope and a structuring machine (PVD).
We employ new specialists and photovoltaics enthusiasts.
The planned production line is equipped with a new sun simulator and a picosecond laser for structuring.
We create cadmium-free and fully laser-structured mini photovoltaic modules with an efficiency of 14%. The connected radio works!
The prestigious Hi-Bits is another EU research project (under the Horizon program) of CIGS cells, after SITA, in which we are participating this year.
