A history of innovation
The company begins operations. Roltec gains new premises. We begin equipping the Solar Factory project laboratory and the SolarBot workshop.
The SolarBot project workshop gains its first machine – a lathe.
We are launching a CNC milling machine that will allow us to create SolarBot components.
Successful tests of cadmium sulphide (CdS) synthesis.
Starting the layer application machine.
We have created the first working CIGS photovoltaic cell from scratch.
The first SolarBot prototype is in the final stages of development.
The test of the first SolarBot prototype ends in success!
We are establishing cooperation with the Martin Luther University of Halle.
The first laser-structured CIGS module is being manufactured at Roltec.
Start of construction of the new laboratory headquarters and Solar Factory - an experimental production line for Roltec CIGS panels.
We create a flexible CIGS cell.
We are structuring a fully magnetron cell with an efficiency exceeding 10%.
Structural elements for another 33 SolarBots are being created.
We create photovoltaic cells with a CIGS evaporated layer.
The new Solar Factory project building is taking its final shape.
We are starting Phase 2 of designing and refining the SolarBot concept.
The laboratory gains a clean zone, an electron microscope and a structuring machine (PVD).
We are hiring new specialists and photovoltaic enthusiasts.
The planned production line gains a new sun simulator and a picosecond structuring laser.
We create cadmium-free, fully laser-structured photovoltaic mini-modules with 14% efficiency. The connected radio works!
The prestigious Hi-Bits is another EU research project (under the Horizon programme) on CIGS cells in which we are participating this year, after SITA.
We are starting the construction of a large Roltec factory, where we will be the only company in the country producing CIGS solar modules.
We are launching the production of framed silicon modules in a new production hall in Żylice (Si-Factory project).
LEEMONS is the latest EU research project, following Hi-Bits, aimed at improving cell efficiency. Roltec will test alternative low-temperature metallization methods.
